Nursing Assistant Training Program
Valley Health Services is approved to provide an on-site Nursing Assistant Training program. The program is a 5 week training course instructed by a Registered Nurse to prepare students for the Certified Nurse Aide licensing exam. The program is offered 3 times a year with up to 8 students in each program. If interested, an application is available at the back of the booklet or at the nursing office located in the lobby on the first floor.

All plans offer pharmacy coverage.
Valley Health Services pays fixed portion; full-time employees with proof of alternate health insurance coverage may waive VHS health coverage in exchange for one week’s vacation.

EBS: Valley Health Services covers full-time employees and up to $10.00 per month fee for part-time employees.

The Hartford: Valley Health Services paid and policy covers up to double the individual’s salary.

Valley Health Services, 160-bed skilled nursing and rehab facility is seeking:

Accounts Receivable Representative-Senior Biller:
Full time position available; Primary duties: maintain billing and clerical operations within a Business Office for a senior care provider. The ideal candidate must have a working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Insurance billing, accounts receivables and collections. Candidate must be organized, have excellent communication and customer service skills, read EOB’s accurately and be able to work independently.

Director of Development and Public Relations:
Position has overall responsibility to create, implement and manage all public relations and development strategies for the organization, cultivate relationships to further the organizational mission and build partnerships in the community to ensure the organization’s long term viability.

Development responsibilities include development/management of major donors including, annual giving and capital campaigns, grant solicitation including tracking and management, working with the network development team and special events planning. Public relations responsibilities include development and implementation of the communications and PR strategies, relationship building with local media, community groups and government officials. Such duties also include development and execution of the annual marketing campaign, including social media.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in business management, marketing, fundraising or related field and at least 2 years’ experience in fundraising and grant writing. Healthcare experience preferred. Persuasive writing and strong verbal and computer skills essential.

Consultant hours available for PT, OT, COTA and PTA positions in our Sub-acute Rehab and on our Long Term Care units

Full and part time LPN positions on all shifts: Duties include administering medications, treatments and patient care; Candidate must possess a current NYS LPN license and a CPR Certification; must be able to work independently; position requires weekend rotation.

Activities Aide: Full time position, primary duties include assisting in the implementation and planning of group and individual activities. Position requires energetic, creative individual with excellent interpersonal skills. Candidate must possess a current NYS Nurse Aide Certification; previous experience in Activities or related field preferred. Must possess a current, valid, violation-free NYS driver license and be at least 25 years old.
